Lavarro Backrest

Lavarro Backrest

The Lavarro Backrest adds a soft upholstered surface to an existing wooden headboard. Designed to hang on the headboard, it gives you a cushioned place to lean while keeping the wood bed as the foundation of the room. It is a headboard accessory for anyone who likes the look of a wood bed but wants a softer surface behind them when sitting up.

The pictured version has cream-colored, visibly textured upholstery with rounded corners and horizontal stitched sections. Those details soften the straight lines of a wooden headboard and introduce a tactile contrast without a bold print. The pale fabric also leaves room for different bedding colors, from warm white and oatmeal to muted olive or charcoal.

Picture Lavarro behind you during an evening with a book, paired with simple bedding and a bedside lamp. Before ordering, confirm its dimensions and compatibility with your particular headboard. Lavarro is the upholstered backrest accessory; the wooden bed and headboard shown provide the setting for its use.

Why It Works

• A softer contact surface: Adds upholstery where you lean against an existing wooden headboard.
• An update to your wood bed: Introduces a cushioned backrest while retaining the bed's existing headboard.
• Texture without a print: The pictured cream upholstery brings visible surface detail to plain bedding and wood furniture.
• A rounded outline: Soft corners and horizontal stitched sections balance the headboard's straight edges.

Ideal Placements

• A bedroom with a compatible wooden headboard: Use it where you want an upholstered surface behind you when sitting in bed.
• A bedroom with simple wood furniture: Let the cream texture contrast with the bed and bedside tables.
• A bedroom with understated bedding: Keep the arrangement simple so the backrest's texture and stitched sections remain visible.

Styling Pairings

Pair the pictured cream backrest with warm white cotton bedding, an oatmeal throw, and wood bedside tables. Walnut tones create a deeper contrast, while pale wood keeps the palette light. Muted olive, clay, or charcoal can appear in a blanket or small cushion. A simple bedside lamp and restrained accessories keep the focus on the contrast between textured upholstery and the wooden headboard.
