Description

Wexorin Dining Chair

A big, fully upholstered dining chair in grey or yellow, for the table you want people to treat like a living room.

This is the largest chair in the range: 24.02 inches wide and 22.44 inches deep, with a 32.28-inch back. Those numbers add up to something closer to a low armchair than a standard dining seat. You can sit sideways, cross your legs, lean back into the shoulder support and stay there through a second bottle of wine. If you've ever noticed that everyone migrates to the sofa after dinner, this is the chair that stops that from happening.

It's fabric all over with no exposed frame, so nothing hard touches you and the chair softens the sound of the room, which matters more than people expect in a space with bare floors and a hard tabletop. The grey is the quiet option that lets the table and the room lead. The yellow is a decision: it will set the color story for the whole space, and it works best when the rest of the room stays neutral enough to let it.

Size is the thing to plan around. At two feet wide, you want roughly 26 to 28 inches of table edge per chair, so a 72-inch table seats two or three comfortably per side, not four. Measure before you order. And treat the fabric like sofa upholstery: vacuum it now and then, blot spills while they're wet.

Why It Works

  • 24.02" wide and 22.44" deep, close to armchair proportions, so guests settle in instead of drifting to the couch
  • 32.28" back rises past your shoulders for genuine support during long meals
  • Full fabric upholstery, no exposed frame, so no hard edges and a quieter, softer room
  • Grey or yellow, so you can keep it neutral or let the chairs carry the whole color scheme
  • No wood or metal tone to match, which makes it easy to add to a dining room you've already furnished

Ideal Placements

A dining room that doubles as the gathering room. If your table is where people actually hang out, board games, laptops, long Sunday breakfasts, the extra size is the whole point.

A generous open-plan space. These need breathing room. In a loft or a wide open living-dining area, the tall backs give the table zone a defined edge and make it feel like its own room.

At the head of the table, or as a pair anywhere. Two of these with a small table between them work as a proper sitting corner in a bedroom or by a window, not just as spare dining seats.

Styling Pairings

With no frame tone to match, the pairing is about weight. Put these with a substantial table: a thick oak or walnut top, a stone slab, a heavy pedestal base. A delicate, thin-legged table will look overwhelmed next to them.

For the grey, build around warm neutrals so the room doesn't go cold: cream and greige walls, oak or walnut wood, a jute or wool rug, brass or blackened metal lighting. For the yellow, keep everything else calm. White or soft clay walls, natural wood, a neutral rug, and let the chairs be the only strong color. Terracotta, cream, and unglazed ceramic sit well beside it; competing brights do not.

Either way, size the rug so the back legs stay on it when the chair is pulled out, hang the pendant low over the table, and keep the tabletop low and simple. The chairs are already the tallest, widest thing in the room.

Vibe & Aesthetic

Relaxed contemporary, with a touch of mid-century in the proportions. Soft volumes, clean lines, no ornament. It fits a modern, transitional, or warm minimalist dining room, and it's the right pick if you'd rather your dining area feel comfortable than formal.
