Description
Sorelle Dining Table
A nearly eight-foot solid ash wood and marble dining table for eight to ten, for long dining rooms that need a big table without losing the walkway around it.
Length is where this table gives you seats, and its measured width is where it gives you room to move. At 94.49 inches long, it seats eight with plenty of space, three per side and one at each end, and ten comfortably with four along each side. At 43.31 inches wide, it's generous enough for full place settings and a line of shared dishes down the center, yet it leaves a few extra inches behind each chair compared with wider tables of the same length. In a long, rectangular dining room, those inches are what let people slip past seated guests without asking everyone to scoot in. At 29.5 inches high, it sits at standard dining height and works with most dining chairs and benches.
The pairing of stone and wood keeps a long table from feeling heavy. Marble brings natural veining and a cool, smooth surface that catches the light. Solid ash brings pale, honey-toned warmth and a clear, open grain, and it's a hard, resilient wood that gives the table a sturdy, grounded feel. The overall look is calm, clean, and quietly elegant.
Plan on some simple care. Marble can stain or show dull etch marks from acidic foods and drinks like wine, citrus, tomato, and vinegar, so use placemats and coasters, wipe spills promptly, clean with a pH-neutral cleaner, and reseal periodically as recommended. Dust the ash with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from standing water. The table is very heavy: measure doorways, hallways, and turns before ordering, and choose its final spot before delivery.
Why It Works
- 94.49" length seats eight generously and up to ten
- 43.31" width fits shared dishes down the center while keeping walkways clear
- Marble brings natural veining and a cool, light-catching surface
- Solid ash wood adds pale, honey-toned warmth and a sturdy feel
- Standard 29.5" height pairs easily with most dining chairs and benches
Ideal Placements
A long, rectangular dining room. The table follows the shape of the room and still leaves comfortable space to walk around every side.
An open-plan space along a window wall. A long stone-and-wood table defines the dining zone and makes the most of natural light.
A home that hosts big gatherings a few times a year. Ten seats for holidays, with a calm, uncluttered look the rest of the time.
For comfort, plan a room at least 14 feet by 10 feet so there's walking space on every side.
Styling Pairings
Keep the chairs light to match the table's calm look: ash or oak frames with woven or linen seats, or slim upholstered chairs in cream, oatmeal, or stone gray. Two armchairs at the ends add a finished touch.
Use a long rectangular rug at least 24 inches bigger than the table on every side. A low-pile wool or flat-weave rug in a soft neutral keeps the room open.
Hang a long linear pendant or two to three simple pendants evenly spaced along the table, in linen, paper, opal glass, or brushed brass. Style the center with a slim linen runner and a few low ceramic vessels.
Vibe & Aesthetic
Calm and refined, with a Japandi and warm minimalist feel. Pale solid ash, natural marble, and long, clean proportions make it a good fit for Japandi, Scandinavian, modern organic, and minimalist homes where the dining room should feel spacious and serene.
