Description
Lunessa Dining Table
A nearly eight-foot marble dining table that seats eight to ten, for large homes where the dining room is built around a single, serious piece of stone.
At 94.49 inches long and 43.31 inches wide, it's built for a crowd. Eight adults sit with generous elbow room, three per side and one at each end, and ten fit comfortably with four along each side. The width gives every guest a full place setting and still leaves a wide band down the center for platters, candles, and serving dishes. At 29.53 inches high, it sits at standard dining height and works with most dining chairs.
Marble at this scale is what makes the table. A long run of natural stone lets the veining travel from one end to the other, so the surface reads almost like a piece of art laid flat in the room. It feels cool and smooth under your hands and reflects the light from the pendants above, giving the whole space a calm, finished presence.
Natural marble needs care, and a table this size deserves planning. Acidic foods and drinks like wine, citrus, tomato, and vinegar can stain or leave dull etch marks, so use placemats and coasters, wipe spills promptly, clean with a pH-neutral cleaner, and reseal periodically as recommended. The table is very heavy: measure doorways, hallways, and turns before ordering, and decide on its final position before delivery, because it's designed to stay put.
Why It Works
- 94.49" x 43.31" surface seats eight generously and up to ten
- Long run of natural marble lets the veining flow across the whole table
- Wide 43.31" surface leaves room for full place settings plus shared dishes down the center
- Substantial presence anchors a large dining room or open-plan space
- Standard 29.53" height pairs easily with most dining chairs
Ideal Placements
A large formal dining room. A table this size fills a grand room properly, so it looks intentional rather than lost.
A home that hosts big holidays and celebrations. Ten guests sit around one surface, so no one ends up at a separate folding table.
A spacious open-plan living area with high ceilings. A long marble table gives the space a clear, elegant center and holds its own against large windows and open volume.
For comfort, plan a room at least 14 feet by 10 feet so there's walking space on every side.
Styling Pairings
Choose comfortable upholstered chairs to match the table's scale. Bouclé, velvet, or leather in ivory, taupe, charcoal, or cognac softens the stone. Armchairs at the ends give the setting a formal, finished look.
Use a large rug at least 24 inches bigger than the table on every side. A plush wool rug in a warm neutral adds softness and helps absorb sound in a big room with hard surfaces.
Hang a long linear pendant or two to three sculptural lights spaced evenly along the table. Brushed brass, glass, or alabaster all work well. Keep centerpieces low, like a row of candles or several small arrangements, so guests can talk easily across the table.
Vibe & Aesthetic
Grand and refined, with a modern, gallery-like calm. A long expanse of natural marble and generous proportions make it a good fit for modern luxury, contemporary, transitional, and minimalist homes where the dining table is the defining piece of the room.
