Description
Cortina Marble Dining Table
A solid ash wood and natural marble dining table for eight, for people who want a table to buy once and keep for decades, through dinner parties, holidays, and everything in between.
Both materials here are chosen for the long haul. Natural marble has been used for tables and floors for centuries because it lasts: each slab carries its own veining, and with basic care the surface stays beautiful for generations. Solid ash is a hard, resilient wood with a clear, open grain, and because it's solid rather than veneer, it can be sanded and refinished if it ever needs a refresh. This is the kind of table that ends up being handed down.
At 86.61 inches long and 39.37 inches wide, it seats eight comfortably, three per side and one at each end, with space in the center for serving dishes and candles. At 29.5 inches high, it sits at standard dining height and works with most dining chairs. It's big enough for real hosting yet sized to fit a typical dining room without overwhelming it.
Plan on some simple care. Natural marble can stain or show dull etch marks from acidic foods and drinks like wine, citrus, tomato, and vinegar, so use placemats and coasters, wipe spills promptly, clean with a pH-neutral cleaner, and reseal periodically as recommended. Dust the ash with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from standing water. The table is heavy, so choose its final spot before delivery.
Why It Works
- Natural marble brings one-of-a-kind veining and a surface built to last for generations
- Solid ash wood can be sanded and refinished instead of replaced
- 86.61" x 39.37" size seats eight comfortably with room for shared dishes
- Sized for a typical dining room, large enough to host without overwhelming the space
- Standard 29.5" height pairs easily with most dining chairs
Ideal Placements
A dining room made for evening dinner parties. Candlelight on marble and warm ash creates a relaxed, intimate setting for long dinners with friends.
A family home planning for the long term. A table meant to last through years of birthdays, holidays, and everyday meals.
A traditional or transitional dining room. Natural stone and solid wood sit comfortably alongside antiques, framed art, and classic furniture.
For comfort, plan a room at least 13 feet by 10 feet so there's walking space on every side.
Styling Pairings
For evening warmth, pair it with upholstered chairs in velvet, wool, or leather in deep tones like forest green, oxblood, chocolate, or charcoal. Wood chairs with a darker stain also create rich contrast with the pale ash.
Consider deeper wall colors such as olive, clay, or warm taupe to make the marble stand out. Use a wool rug with a subtle pattern, at least 24 inches bigger than the table on every side.
Hang a single statement chandelier or two pendants in aged brass or smoked glass on a dimmer. Style the table with tall candlesticks, a low floral arrangement, and linen napkins for dinner parties.
Vibe & Aesthetic
Timeless and warm, with a classic, collected feel. Natural marble, solid ash, and balanced proportions make it a good fit for transitional, traditional, modern classic, and warm contemporary homes where the dining table is meant to last.
